Edmunds was a British artist trained at the Slade School of Fine Art and the Westminster School of Art. Early in her career, she exhibited around 300 portrait miniatures at the Royal Academy’s annual Summer exhibitions. Her success led to active involvement in the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Engravers, where she served on the council and became Vice President in 1912. Her leadership marks a significant achievement for a woman artist within a male-dominated institution, reflecting both the revival of miniature painting and the expanding professional opportunities available to women in the early twentieth century.
